Polly Dymond is a contemporary artist working across small objects and wearables, raised in Naarm/Melbourne.

In 2020 she relocated to Tarntanya/Adelaide to undertake the Associate program at JamFactory in the Jewellery and Metal Studio. A finalist of the DIA GOTYA Awards (Jewellery) and recipient of the NMH Metalworks Prize for Silversmithing, she completed an Advanced Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design at Melbourne Polytechnic.

She is grounded by a deep love of the natural environment and driven by inquisition. Embracing the alchemy of experimental materials and processes, she has a preoccupation with polystyrene and discarded plastics, transforming them into precious and permanent artefacts. This commitment to the material speaks to her environmental and social consciousness, and resilience and optimism required for the realities of living and creating sustainably.

A finalist in Contemporary Wearables ’21 Biennial Jewellery Award, Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, Toowoomba
and Profile Contemporary Jewellery and Object Award, Australian Design Centre, Sydney she has exhibited across Australia in galleries such as Brunswick Street Gallery, Melbourne, Craft ACT, Canberra, Zu Design, Adelaide and online as part of Melbourne Design Week, Melbourne and has been the recipient of project grants including, Australia Council for the Arts, ArtsSA and JamFactory Medici Collective.
